Sure it looks nice but the poor betta has no ROOM.
Bettas need at least a gallon to have a HEALTHY life.
You can get a nice 5 gallon for cheaper and have a very healthy betta!
Bettas need a tank much much bigger. Have you ever been to Petsmart/Petco/Wal Mart and seen the bettas in a cup just laying there? That’s what this tank would be like for a betta. They need at least a 2.5 gallon tank, but that’s like the bare minimum, worst case scenario kind of tank.
Definitely not an ideal tank to have for a Betta to thrive. The plant that came with the tank is relatively sharp for the delicate fins. Adding even the smallest plant live or artificial would take up a significant amount of swimming space. The limited amount of water could potentially cause water conditions to reach toxic levels for the fish in several hours or even a few days so water changes should be made frequently for the well being of the Betta. At best, the tank would be great as short term housing for the fish while you’re cleaning it’s larger tank.
