I bought this light for my 20 gallon (tall) tank and it works phenomenally well. The price is affordable and enables you to add plants that require low to medium lighting in a smaller tank.

The light is perfect for displaying fish as it brings out their colors vibrantly. If fits atop my hood almost perfectly and doesn’t make the annoying buzzing noise that the 15 watt stock light that came with the tank made.

It’s a good product overall. It feels solid, illuminates the aquarium very well and you can’t beat the price.

I have one of these for my 20 gallon and my 55 gallon tanks…. they are AWESOME.

You cannot beat the value of this light. Many companies will sell the same thing for hundreds more. If you’re on a budget, this is the thing.

The light fixture comes in different options. Be sure to match it to your needs. I’m freshwater, so no actinic. Mine has the grow light (pinkish), and the full spectrum (white/bluish). The color temperature etc. of this fixture is comparable to higher end setups, for much cheaper. I’ve been running the 55 gallon setup since I bought these, same with the 20 and haven’t replaced a bulb once.

The power drain is minimal if you have em on a timer, and the output is great. There are, of course, better lights, but for the money, this is good for budget minded folks like me.
